Bow Tie Clown

Bow Tie Clown

Product Description:

“Bow Tie Clown” is an original, unique, one-of-a-kind pastel drawing on linen, hand-signed by the internationally recognized artist, actor and philanthropist, Red Skelton. The signature of the artist is located in the lower right hand corner of the artwork, and the signature takes its form in another clown drawn by the artist. The artwork is dated 1983. The face of the smaller clown forms the “R” in Red Skelton’s name and very few originals were signed in this manner. Accordingly this drawing is exceptionally unique as it features two original clowns by the artist. The clown in the lower right side of the drawing has the face of “Freddie The Freeloader” - one of Mr. Skelton’s most famous fictional characters which he created and used in his twenty years on prime time television. The original drawing on linen measures approximately 16” x 16” and is beautifully framed in a red lacquer molding to emphasize the colors of the artwork.
