A Portrait of Freddie the Freeloader

Product Description:

“Portrait of Freddie the Freeloader” is an original, one-of-a-kind, unique portrait drawing on linen, hand-signed by the internationally known artist, actor, and humanitarian, Red Skelton. The beautiful portrait is dated 1975 and is framed to an approximate dimension of 16” x 12”. The drawing measures approximately 12” x 9”. This drawing is unique and important as it features Mr. Skelton’s most famous fictional character, Freddie the Freeloader, the beloved hobo-clown who always lived in the city’s local dump. Freddie the Freeloader was featured in almost every Red Skelton television show especially as Freddie would fix toys for Christmas—toys discarded by wealthy citizens. Freddie would always be seen giving the repaired toys during Mr. Skelton’s Christmas show.
