“Freddie’s Scarf” is an original, one-of-a-kind, drawing on linen hand signed by the internationally recognized and respected artist, actor and humanitarian, Red Skelton. The artist dated the drawing “1982”. Mrs. Lothian T. Skelton (Red’s widow) confirms that Red considered “Freddie’s Scarf” as one of the most important works of art during his career. Freddie the Freeloader, Red’s beloved fictional character was always seen with this famous scarf. Accordingly, Red decided to memorialize it for all viewers to see in this famous artwork. This work of art measures approximately 17” x 14 1/2” and is beautifully framed to museum quality standards. “Freddie’s Scarf” was dedicated on the back of the artwork to the very special owners: “Mr. Mrs. Ron Schilke Dear hearts Red Skelton.”
