Back Stage Blues

Back Stage Blues

Product Description:

“Back Stage Blues” is an original, one-of-a-kind pastel drawing on linen hand-signed by the internationally acclaimed artist, humanitarian, and actor, Red Skelton. This unique work of art measures approximately 24” x 18” and is beautifully framed in museum quality moulding, which measures approximately 30” x 24”. Mr. Skelton created this special work on a Pan American World Airways linen, and it is estimated he completed this work of art in the 1970’s but did not release it for sale until the 1990’s, when Dr. and Mrs. Lee acquired it. This original drawing is believed to be the important inspiration for Red’s “Little Blue Clown,” an original oil painting subsequently reproduced as a hand-signed limited-edition lithograph on canvas in an edition of 5000, each and everyone of which was sold out within weeks of its initial release.
