“Freddie and Teddy” is an original, unique, one-of-a-kind painting on linen hand signed by the internationally recognized artist, Red Skelton, in the lower right side of the artwork. The artwork has been exquisitely framed using the finest of museum quality materials. This unique work of art features the artist dressed as Freddie The Freeloader, the lovable clown who lived in the city dump, who was always giving gifts to those less fortunate. In real life, Red was like Freddie, generous, caring and gifting to others. Mr. Skelton considered “Freddie and Teddy” to be one of his finest paintings, both of Freddie and of his favorite Teddy, given to him years ago by another television actor, who knew that he and Mrs. Skelton were avid collectors of toy bears. This work of art was considered one of Red’s best, and initially the artist did not want to release it for sale.
