The Pledge

“The Pledge” is a unique, fully authorized, limited edition, porcelain plate, bearing two reproduced signatures of the artist, Red Skelton. One signature is on the front of the plate, and the other on the reverse.
This plate measures approximately 8” in diameter and is individually numbered 9450/10,000. This porcelain plate was created in 1978 and was reproduced from an original painting of the same name by Mr. Skelton.
The reverse side of the plate bears a short quotation which reads the following:
“The Pledge”

looks down to no — one,
looks up to no — one,
but looks everyone straight in the eye.”
