“To My Little Red” is an original, unique oil painting on canvas signed by the internationally recognized artist, actor, humanitarian, and philanthropist, Red Skelton. The painting measures 20” x 16” and is beautifully framed in a custom museum quality frame. On the reverse side of the painting is a message from Red which reads as follows” “To my little Red, Mrs. Georgia Skelton, with love, Red Skelton, April 2, 1967”. Georgia Skelton was Mr. Skelton’s second wife, who took her life in 1974. This is the first painting that shows a dedication of love to his wife—no other painting has been found. The clown on the front of the canvas is a well developed clown, wearing a hat, having a friendly face, and smiling with perfectly excellent make up, a yellow sweater is beneath his white smock.
