“Santa Fe” is an original, one-of-a-kind, oil on canvas, signed by the internationally acclaimed artist, actor, humanitarian and philanthropist, Red Skelton. The painting measures 16” x 20” and is framed to an approximate measurement of 26.75” x 30.5”. “Santa Fe” is a departure from the artist’s notorious “clowns” or clown-themed paintings. This departure adds value to the painting as it is substantially different from the norm. The painting features a bell-tower with a simple cross on the top of the tower. Mr. Skelton obviously was a visitor in Santa Fe and he saw a simple church with a modest degree of plants/flowers. He was greatly impacted by the simplicity of the building and its simple setting. A moonlit sky is evident. It is an overall beautiful painting.
