“A Self-Portrait” is a unique, original, one-of-a-kind prismatic oil pencil drawing on linen signed by the internationally recognized actor, comedian, and philanthropist, Red Skelton. The drawing measures 24” x 19.5” and is framed to a measurement of 31” x 27.5”. The drawing is dated 1989. This magnificent drawing is among the finest drawings of the artist in the reviewers opinion. It was created in 1989 and took a great deal of time to create. It is an unusual painting in that it features Red’s upper torso, wearing his old brown hat, slightly graying hair, with black eyeglasses, holding a cigar which he never smoked, just chomped. The painting features a perfectly tied red tie making the painting stand out. His suit is finished with a yellow flower. The entire painting is presented with a unique background of small flowers complimenting the drawing. This drawing is splendid as it portrays a loving face, with a bright smile, a typical Red Skelton work of art.
