Gertrude and Heathcliffe

“Gertrude and Heathcliffe” is a unique, fully authorized, limited edition, porcelain plate, bearing two reproduced signatures of the artist, Red Skelton. One signature is on the front of the plate, and the other on the reverse.
This plate measures approximately 8” in diameter and is individually numbered 6592/15,000. This porcelain plate was created in 1983 and was reproduced from an original painting of the same name by Mr. Skelton.
The reverse side of the plate bears a short quotation which reads as follows:
“Gertrude and Heathcliffe”
“When a man in a plane flies over a seagull,
The seagull has no fear or doubt,
But when a seagull flies over a man,
The man ducks and yells, ‘Look Out’!”
